996TT/GT2 NEW Harness/Roll Bar

For all you track junkies or those looking for a little more safety in there street cars.

We have developed a harness bar that works in conjunction with the standard seats and offers taller drivers the ability to move the seat back in order to get the proper leg room that is impossible to get with the Tequipment bar and standard seats.

For those of you who have installed the factory Tequipment bars in there cars and are not running GT3 one piece seats you know what I am talking about, especially if you are over 5" 10" in height.

The factory Tequipment bar is not designed to work with the standard / sport seats and you simply cannot get the seat back.

Our GMG GTCUP Harness/Roll bars are made of 4130 chrome moly tubing, tig welded and normalized for strength. The bars are made to either fit GT2/GT3 (non sunroof cars) or 996TT and Carrera's equipped with sunroof.

We have also added an additional cross brace to increase rigidity.

Complete BOLT in unit ( mounts like the Tequipment unit) with the additional mounting tabs for those who are running harness's and dont wish to drill holes in the floor of there vehicles.
Designed to work standard seats, sports seats or GT3 one piece seats.

For more info please email me directly...

GMG GTCUP Harness/Roll bars )Patent Pending

very nice. I am suprised that the rears don't attach to the shock towers for added torsional rigidity. That seems to be the main critique of the TE Roll bars from Porsche. Is there any truth to that with GT cars ?
Nice work by the way.

we can do the bar to attach to the rear strut towers, however since alot of guys with 996TT have the bose system in them it makes installation difficult and you end up cutting the car up.

Our harness bar was designed to be a bolt in part so you didnt have to cut the car up to fit it.

As far as torsional rigidity , we have found that 99% of street cars dont suffer from flex between the rear strut towers.
Rear strut towers being the least of the problems with flex.

Feel free to email me directly if you have any other questions.

Fabryce: Sure wish you had this before I installed my tequipment. I really don't like a fairly week stainless steel bar.

Fabryce,

Note: I wasn't advertising for anyone with the pic. Not trying to steal anyone's thunder. My particular unit encompasses the back, overhead and door bars. I have no doubt you can build anything.

I do like the roll you provided at the bottom front and the cross bar behind the seat. It appears you guys did your homework and provided for full set extention.
