What pwdrhound is saying is that "stage x" is whatever package that company puts together. It does NOT mean that you get the 999 764 pressure plate. The best thing to know is what pressure plate and what disc you have.

Exactly. Stage 2.x or 2.x+ or 3.0 tells you absolutely nothing. You need to know what PP, disc, and/or flywheel is in the kit. The numbering system is something vendors came up with but it's quite meaningless. Know what you're buying...
