yeah, this has been nuts. I've got no control over how they get cut but if they come back and fit I'm good. if not i'm stuck with em. the guy wants to trim them to 39 but i dont understand why I'm not just getting 40!? wtf none of this makes much sense.

I had crappy chrome bolts like that on my car too. I'm driving on the highway and feel a nasty vibration thats getting worse and worse. Pulled over and found 2 lugs missing from my wheel. I suspect the torque wasn't correct cause they dont have the proper collars on them so likely were binding in my wheels. I ordered 7mm extended (Cayenne) studs from ECS (i have 7mm spacer on the rear) and never looked back.

The 7mm extended has no problems in the front with no spacer but suspect the rear with the ebrake isn't working as you stated.

Well at this point im just waiting on two sets of TUV certified bolts.
The ones I bought that were 1mm longer and are being trimmed and hit the ebrake initially.. and another set from Italy (wtf) in 40mm
That won't need to be re machined.

Btw the 20 of em I'll have I remain hopeful that 10 won't ever again snap.

I've had this problem myself with crappy Forgestar supplied bolts. Solved it by fitting H&R bolts. These are high tensile steel and Tuv approved as standard. Cheap at approx $30 per ten. As mentioned, make sure they don't interfere with the brake on the back. On the front there is loads of space behind the hub so the bolts can be a little too long and still do the job.

good for you. i had ordeal after ordeal and found amazingly little help. i measured wrong, got terrible advice, all of it. i just ended up feeling the bolts never seated properly in the wheel and problem is in addition to not being hubcentric? they call for a tapered not ball seat lug. that was my issue even broke tuner lugs, but the stresses i was putting on them was unusual in the corners i run. i hope to never go through any of that again. was a nightmare of epic proportion.

now using oem tuv lugs now on my new OZ. the f'stars are just gonna sit.
