too late lol. 1/2 inch 12 bucks plus 6 s&h @ harbor . it's a click to spec t-wrench. if it doesn't work accurately whatever.. it's just a backup to the tire shops anyway.

So you installed a mixed bag of different type of bolts? Curious, who did you entrust to install these wheels? I'm still having a difficult time trying to imagine how this happened.

Glad you got it sorted.

thanks. well, it was a long process that began with new wheels a few years ago with the forgestar supplied bolts, the first one(S) snapped relatively soon after install. then i would replace as needed but only ones that snapped and it never occurred to me ( or any of my *help* apparently ) that it would make more sense to swap them all out at once to have a baseline of all same on all four wheels. so i then ended up with a hodgepodge of mixed taper/seated bolts, and this was contributory if not causal, i am sure. some didn't thread in sufficiently in spite of proper toque spec(s).

but once i took them ALL ( 20 ) out, it was easier to see the cause of my dilemma. the level of confusion it caused me, was relative to my lack of experience mechanically. i have tended to trust the folks i use regularly for most stuff, but simple tire replacements, and lug tightening were not given the attention i now know and understand they deserve! by me. can't trust others to always do what's *best*!

so it's a cpl different tire shops inattentiveness, coupled with my misguided notion that a tire/wheel shop would automatically put on/replace as needed, with wheel correct lugs.

that's the long and short of it, but yes, thanks, it's sorted now

Thanks for reporting what you found and how this was solved. I don't know how many times people post a puzzling problem pleading for help and answers, then totally disappear and leave you hanging. We have all been there and learn from our experiences.

same issue! just installed new p zeros. FOUND I HAVE SNAPPED 1 MORE TUNER LUG!!! and one more hairline cracked about to snap.

going titanium from here on out.. IF i can find any in 14mm head size as oem 17mm will NOT fit forgestar.

forgestar wheels are NOT for serious flat out drivers, the 18s are NOT HUBCENTRIC and require that stupid little insert ring. fine for tooling around streets, hi way pulls maybe..

but not hardcore canyons. it's the friggin wheels, though i'm gonna try ONE MORE TIME if i can find titanium which i think will be more like unobtanium LOL. so next up will be new OZ wheels. which i should done the first time. live and learn... again

im so friggin pissed i could SCREAM grrrrrr

Try Pure Motorsports. They have RAD wheel bolts that are cold forged from German steel.
Make sure you order the conical shaped style for the Forgestar's.

That's sh!tty, man. Get rid of those wheels.
Beware of the titanium lugs. I think they're more for show than for performance. Ti is strong but brittle.

in addition to ensuring theyre tuv certified, i'll make certain they are cone seat of course thanks. the issue is finding 14mm's since 17mm are oem, and f'stars hole size of course! will not accommodate OEM sizing it's nuts. i really should've gone deeper into the particulars of my wheel selection but who woulda thought! this particular situation would be so unique. basically, what we have here is a combo of stress to the lugs from a lot of hi speed off camber driving with an rwd car, add to that a possible hub not being 100% flush against the wheel, and any "added" lateral stress being transferred or even the brunt of being borne by the lugs ever so slightly more than might be the case if all were OEM !?

this has been and continues to be bizarre. i'm about the place the blame for these recurring events on the wheels, so i may end up following the yellow brick road back to the land of oz. god knows i can never go home ha.

That really sux, I was looking at those wheels as an attractive and cost effective upgrade The hub centering ring was a concern for sure as I've had bad experiences with rings before but I was going to take a chance. Are any other Forgestar owners having issues? Do you have any damage to the seats or mating surfaces?
