What does this button do?
Thanks for the idea and some of the info to do it!
Order from Suncoast last week and it arrived today, figured it would be a good way to spend a rainy evening.
Took me about an hour, most of that spent figuring out what to solder and fighting with the solder iron... Came out slick!
Materials...
Pcar Switch - 996 613 119 10
18 Gauge wire
3 Female spade adapters
Shrink tubing
Solder
Solder iron
Electrical tape
Screw driver (flat and #1 phillips)
Torx driver (think it is a #30?)

All wired up and tested...

Opened up the console, used a bit of 3m double stick tape to affix it to the car...

Complete! Switch looks funny like the door is upside down... Probably going to open it up and flip the switch and the blank around....

Nice pics, I'd use thinner wire, just for convenience, but your overkill works.
LEt's talk about your brake handle there, I WANT ONE. Mine is rubbed up a little and all scratched up on sides.

LOL 18 gauge was all I had 20 or 22 would have been better.
Factory piece best I can tell. In a tip car so it is hardly ever used.
