Carbon fibre Bumperettes
many aftermarket pieces are made of several fiberglass layers with a carbon overlay. I just picked up some tank sliders for my motorcycle that were made this way. Call it rice but it gets the job done and doesn't look half bad.
But they are at least veneered with real carbon.
That may be but for anyone to think they are getting true c/f would be tard like. Sans a c/f roof panel or hood fenders it's all a poser style so why knock on hydro dipping? If done right with clear coat applied after it's hard to tell the difference. Since the main reason for c/f is weight savings any thing else is simply for looks.

If I was going to buy after market carbon I would want the real thing. I like carbon and believe it will not look dated in the future unlike some of the must have mods that were popular in days past= and yes I wasted big bucks threw the years on mods that now would look ridiculous.
