if all else is good ( gears/sychros? ) then it's about $2.5-3k to replace the bearings with most of that as labor to open it, inspect r&r the pinion/thrust bearings and close it back up. the bearings themselves aren't but $250 approx.. plus the $ labor removal/re-install of the box which 6 hrs labor max. my last job i paid 600 to remove the box and re-install it. a fair and competent indy should do it for that. but MOST send out the trans, and don't repair them in house like a stealership does.

3500$ is either ballpark or right on the money if you're not getting ******.

porsche dealership? double it.

given your locale and that you might have to ship it? i would call roger at CA motorsports though in AZ it's kinda next door lol, at the very least for advice and he'll be straight up with you on parts/labor etc. there are also the very well known colorado g'box shops gt gears or "gbox" et al.

then down here.. there is a very well known and highly reputable guy that does them, but ya gotta know someone to get to him. let me know know if you want that option and i'll steer you in that guys direction. he doesn't "advertise" is my point.. but it's gt3+cup car capable kinda folks...

Hi Tim. this a 6speed. I have the LWF so there is noise in nuetral at idle and it stops when I put the clutch in. Whats interesting is when I`m going 60-70 mph I hear the noise in neutral WITH the clutch pedal in..(pressed to floor)
