GT-3 seat question

I am thinking of going to GT-3 seats and since I use my car as a daily driver I would like to be able to easily move the seat forward to allow better access to the area behind the seats. I put my briefcase, coat, etc. back there all the time. I am wondering if others have this issue and also if there would be any interest in a seat mounting system that would allow more forward movement and a quick return to where it was set for driving? I am thinking of maybe a four arm system that would rock up a little then forward and then return to the normal position.

Then you should stay with a stock seat setup, having to bend down and move the seat all the way forward to access the rear of the car everyday and then slide it back to enter is going to get on your nerves in the long run especially due to the fact that it is easier to get in and out of the car with GT3 seats by sliding the seat far back, thats my experience and your call.

John...

You could fabricate a bracket to tilt the seat, but the problem is you wouldn't be able to tilt it much without hitting the roof. You best bet would be to scoot the seat forward for rear seat access. You should be able to slide your case and hang your coat without much problem as long as you don't have the seat all the way back.

Here's a link to the Sparco Bracket..

JAS...

Good point, I wish the seat adjustment handle was on the left side instead of the right... But I got my seats last night and it's not much harder to get out. I just put my left hand on the door sill and push myself out...

Enjoy your seats Chris, without sliding it back to exit and enter just be careful of your head when you get in, trust me.

Exactly JAS...I'm 6'1 so I have the seat almost all the way back for driving. Otherwise, I can't get my knee out of the darn car

Bring in the seat up as much as possible. Lay back in the seat so your shoulders touch the seat, then reach forward and cross your wrists over the steering wheel. You want your seat to be in a position so that your wrists are just resting on the top of the wheel and not hanging over.

I use to drive with the seat all the way back. When I got the GT3 seats and properly adjusted the position, the driving experience changed dramatically.

Thanks for the tip Dan...

I've always been looking for articles on proper driving position. I used to drive with the seat reclined pretty far back, but I've learned that is wrong and why my lower back is always in pain.
