My new 19 inch SSR GT3 wheels and tires look killer but performance wise I might be better off going stock and using the Pilot Sport Cups for the shootout. What do you think?

Definetly, Pilot Sport Cups...The Pilot Cups are hands down better than either of the 19" tires...AVS or Contisport 2. I use 19's for the street and 18's with Pilot Cups...

Especially with the competitive nature of this event Go with the Cups! Maybe for the photo shoot portion you can ask them to swap wheels.

Any idea if Cups are going to be available in the proper 19" sizes??? I know they make a 19" fitment for the BMW M3 CSL car...

Performance will always suffer when using a larger rim (which in 9 cases out of 10 also has a higher weight). The rotational mass will also be higher (due to .5" further out from center).

It will make a difference ... trust me. I have 19" on the and M3 racing with a M3 with BBS 18" I will definately loose (smaller and ligher wheels).
