There are a ton of good options out with a wide range of prices. I would add BBI and Speedtech to your list. Personally I have a 3" Speedtech and am very happy with it.

Of those from your list, I have never actually come across someone who has Akropovic on a 996TT. I hear good things about them for other cars, but they are $$$.

I usually don't hear good things about Fabspeed. There have been a lot of different versions over the years though and maybe their latest X design is ok.

I'm another vote for BBi. Those guys know their stuff, they tune REAL race cars, and their welds and engineering is second to none.

Certainly not belittling anyone else or their system, but I personally think BBi is the best. And I'm not affiliated with them in any way. Just LOVE the exhaust I have on my car.

I will say most people have good things to say about the exhausts they chose which tells me there are quite a few worth considering.

...which bring me back to give another resounding thumbs up for my recent Klein exhaust acquisition.

at 2500 bucks give or takeit has to be among the consideration sparticularly given the noticeable increase in power as well as the wonderful note the exhaust provides over 3k Rpm.

on these 10 to 15 year old cars I also think of the purchase of a new exhaust in the same way I would think about wheels. can I spend $5,000? of course but do I need $5000 exhaust when a $2500 exhaust will perform exactly the same function with the same quality and level of performance of one twice the cost. I mention same quality because the welds on the Klein made in Bucharest Romania or wherever the hell it came from hafta be as good as anybody elses. it also is available with hundred or 200 ce l cat or decatted along with choice of different materials if one desires. though I'm sure the options will increase the cost from the basic set up that I chose

just sayin ...

Add: exhaust was KLINE
Klein made me a cpl suits back when in NYC.. Whatever.. Lol

Kline sounds rather nice. 100 cell cat will cut some of the drone and most of the smell.

It does sound nice. Hopefully I will be able to find other 996's with different vendors to be able to listen to them before making a decision.

Want to know when "no" doesn't mean "no?" In my experience, it's when it's put before the word "drone." Unless you're talking about factory. Otherwise "no" means some varying degree, or only in this RPM range, etc. etc.

Good luck!

Thanks and good way to describe the "no" drone sales pitch.

if you want a supercar sound with zero drone go with 3" Xpipe (cross over) Protomotive.
