Best exhaust for 996 GT2

Everyone,

Tomorrow, I will hopefully be the new owner of this beautiful GT2. I don't plan to mod this car much at this time but I do plan to get an exhaust. I am seriously considering the following exhausts. Akropovic, ePI, Sharkwerks, GMGRacing WC, Fabspeed.

Does anyone have any of these and are you happy with the sound/performance? Did you have any fitment issues? Thanks for your help.

Update: Now I am the new owner of this lovely piece of engineering bliss.

Great and thank you. I truly want the sounds of the ePI no cats but I want the weight reduce of the Akropovic Titanium Evolution. So with that said, I am truly leaning towards the Fabspeed 70mm catless supersports X-Pipe design because of performance and sound, no perfect but the most balance I have found sound clips and specs on. At this point, I believe they are closest combination I have seen and listen too on youtube. I really need the community to help me on this one. This is my first Porsche, I am crossing over from a family generation of BMW owners.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sweet ride. I'm interested to see what you decide because I am contemplating exhaust too at the moment.

Coincidentally my insurance company keeps telling me my VIN comes up as a GT2, but I know its a TT. Strange.

Good luck with your decision.

Oklahoma, you should take a hard look at our full 3" X-Pipe - sounds phenomenal and you will feel the power increase. It's modular so you can run it catless or with cats, etc.

If you have a moment, read our testimonials to see what other forum members are reporting. IMO, you can not go wrong with this system and would be extremely pleased with it!

I have the kline exhaust and absolutely love it, its transformed my car from a Hoover washing machine to a glorious howl and to an all out ferocious sound at full throttle with enhanced throttle response and seems to boost a lot sooner than before.

They can custom build an exhaust to suit you, so if you want louder they'll make it as loud as you want it.
They supplied me with decats but l haven't tried them as l find it is perfect the way it is.

I'm sure others that have Kline will chime in as well.

If you get the fab buy lots of aspirin for the headache you will get from the drone. I have a Miltek and really like. John makes a really good product as well. The others you have mentioned are well reviewed here.

My main advise is listen to one in person before you decide. You will save money and some sanity.

^^^THIS.

Particularly the "in person" part, because no video, regardless of quality, can capture the droning that most sport exhausts exhibit.

Want to know when "no" doesn't mean "no?" In my experience, it's when it's put before the word "drone." Unless you're talking about factory. Otherwise "no" means some varying degree, or only in this RPM range, etc. etc.

Good luck!
