Best exhaust for 996 GT2
BTW.. It doesn't "drone" but really sounds sweet @anything over 2.5-3k up. I think the x pipe systems are less prone to drone lol
...also if you haven't yet? Hit up sambott here. Pretty sure he carries these in stock so you wouldn't have to spec order. You wouldn't be sorry that much I can promise. Good luck whatever you decide on! Transforms the car.

I heard a europipe exhaust system yesterday. a fellow porsche enthusiast also mention Tubi. Does any on the forum have these and is there any drone? Are you happy with the installation and sound. Thanks
That said, the loud version may not be what you want, but everybody has their own taste. I have never heard the quieter version.
I have the Europipe loud version and love it - zero drone. It sounds amazing on the 996T and many of the people that hear my car say the same thing - includes members in my PCA with the same car.

I have heard many, many, 996TT guys talk about how their exhaust isn't drone-y then I hear it in person and think ?!WTF?!.
The biggest factor here, in my opinion, is driving style. Do you like to keep it a gear down at 3500+ all the time? Do you play loud music when you're at 68mph on highway? Do you highway cruise at 80mph or 62mph....
There are a couple drone sweet-spots RPM ranges that if you avoid, you won't hear a lot of drone in a mildly aggressive exhaust. Most of us I think learn to avoid them and report back "no-drone, here!".
Cliff notes: listen to exhaust with your driving style in mind, and make sure you actually run it in the right RPM ranges/throttle.

Careful there -- great sound at high RPM and drone tend to come hand in hand.

Since I have no options to listen, I recommend we set-up a fall meeting Dallas, TX in October so everyone can take for a ride and sell me on their exhaust system.
