Is the shift **** suppose to be illuminated?
I ran across some OEM shift ***** on Ebay and they show they are illuminated. Is the 01tt shift **** suppose to be because mine doesn't light up the shift pattern.

There use to be some venders offering them for BMWs not sure if they were installed in any cars as OEM.

my M5 was illuminated, but not the 996.

As DKFX mentioned, my M5 had a lit shift **** as well from the factory. I had an E39 (2003) M5.

I just bought a new Mac and can't figure out how to copy and paste but search Ebay for "porsche illuminated ****" and there is a seller in Germany.

In my opinion if it is subtle and came with car then probably cool but aftermarket might look cheesy
