Tim941nyc's 996tt daily driver build thread..
Thank you guys.. I was emailed my base tune and maf delete and have started to tune... I have been driving this thing around all weekend. Wow is this car fun. The clutch is slipping and still needs some more break in, but the car sounds sick. there is drone at 1,900-2k and ZERO at the dreaded 3k. I will take some sound clips and get them up soon.
Ok you guy can stop harassing me about sound clips.. I hooked up the vbox and took a ride. I put the mic on the clothing hanger hook passenger side. I will do some more tomorrow.
I tried to stay in the lower rpm range to highlight the drone. Clutch is slipping and needs dressing.

Haha... fire*******s!
I have a request... can you pull up to a stop light (in a somewhat busy area) and do the same bounce'n off the limiter "test" while someone records people taking cover and other reactions from nearby?
Awesome build, Tim... I really need to make it up there one of these days. The wife and I are flying out to Arkansas tonight and will be picking up my car from Protomotive tomorrow morning... I think I can finally say that it's all sorted out after the last 2-3 years... then we have a nice little road trip back to VA.
Incidentally, what clutch setup do you have in that car? I don't think I saw that mentioned on the previous pages... What does your 'ball mod' in the trans do for you? And, do you run an LSD in any of your cars?
Keep up the awesome work... B-)

The Eurodyne with Tim's pro-tuning is great.
My car goes much quicker than I would expect with stock K24s, stock WGs, stock DVs etc. Been doing times which match tuned 997.2s in 60-130 and indeed above 30 mph to whatever speed. One can tune mafless, upgrade turbos, upgrade injectors, tune for E85, E40 whatever and it has a great datalogging package built in. If you are a novice like me than you can even send files by email to Tim and he can tweak your current tune. FWIW with my old tune and before ID1000s and new fuel pump I was doing 8.4s or so 60-130, new times are 7.2-7.3 consistently in up to 92F and one 6.99 in 72F weather (but was down 3.1% slope)
Highly recommended product which you can get from Tim.
I have been reading up on the Eurodyne and found a good handbook (unofficial) on a VW website http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...uning-Handbook
