MICHI PS 2 VS MICHI Pilot Sports
I can not say if it will work out for you because you liking something is just so dependent on so many factors. If you need tires and that is all you can get then sure but know that it may work out OK or it just many not suit your driving style, car set up or _______? Then you either have to live with them or you have to replace them for something you know works.
In my opinion if you do not like them all that happens is you loose a bit of cash selling two use front tires or buy a set of rears to match and sell two used PS2's.
5/20 pilot sports 235/40/18 @ 188 mounted. whats not to love.

The PSS looks smaller in the wheel well than the previous ps2.not sure how that is possible. Could be my imagination since they are the same height.
Turn in seems quicker and front end felt lighter. None of this should be possible so who knows.
The PSS is a good lookin tire though

so if the diameter of the tire is the same btw the two ( 25.4..? ) how is it the pss doesn't fill the wheel well the same as the ps2 did. maybe i'm just losing it lol. it is one sturdy tire though and weighs 1 lb more than the ps2. i bet i go thru 2.5 sets of rears before these need changing again.

I have had both the PS2 and PSS.
I think the PSS's have a little less grip than the PS2's, especially in the front. They do seem to be a little quieter than my old PS2's. Ive heard the PSS last much longer than the PS2 and that combined with a lower price makes them a no brainer for street use.
The PSS still offer excellent grip, better than my old Conti's and Pirelli's.

i'm about to go rub some mold prevention of off em lol. they seem pretty sticky now but there's only 100 miles on em. the tread depth is DEEP and looks a bit "sturdier" than my ps2's.
i swear i could be imagining this stuff....
add: fronts are sticking like GLUE and i've managed to tear out my custom brake ducting hoses while careening around some downhill hairpin turns
all in all i'd say it's a great tire so far. now for some new brake ducting hoses lol
