I am sure the 997tt is gonna be a jaw-dropper just like the 996tt back in 01'.
If you want to pay all that money for the Ferrari, then get it. If you want to keep an extra 100 grand in the bank, then get the Porsche!
I admit, the Ferrari is a true exotic and reaks of wealth, but it aint any quicker than my 05'996tt-s coupe..
Yes I love the looks of the Ferrari, but for that kind of money I would buy a Murciellago.. Now that car looks like something on the road.. I think it KILLS the 430 in every way!!

Just remember this... Ferrari for show,Porsche to go......

Yeah, but porsches are NOT holding there value as good as a F 430, Even a m3 is hold better value then a TT.. F430 all the way !!

Yes, the 996TT is much faster than the F360, but that's due to the extra 20-25 HP & Extra 140 lb/ft of Torque.

However, the 997TT Stock may NOT be faster than the F430 since the F430 has approximately 490hp. According to current rumours, the 997 TT might have that much or a little less.

Plus, like Infamous said, Ferrari's hold their value MUCH better than Porsches, so although he's paying more now, he'll get a higher percentage of it back when he sells it.

Plus, the F430 is SOOO SEXY, I would take it over my Porsche any day!

You are still missing my point, you cant look at a car as something to get rid of. You gotta keep that thing and drive it. Yes,you are right, the Ferrari has much better residual, but as far as a car to drive EVERY day with NO problems,Porsche hands down!!
See whats gonna happen to a Ferrari with 30k miles on it after 2 or 3 years.. Go see what its worth..
The people who buy the Porsche have something in mind and that is to use it EVERY day!!
The 996tt or 997tt is NOT a true exotic,it is a every-day car that beats the **** out of almost EVERY exotic even twice its price!!
And as far as resale, its not that bad... If you take a stock 02 turbo which was about 120k and compare it to a stock 02 360 which was about 165k,you will see that the Porsche is still bringing 85k,and the 360 is bringing 130k. So percentage wise, its not that far off..

Listen up everyone, I HAVE A STOCK 05TT-S COUPE AND RACE A 430 ALMOST EVERY WEEKEND, WE ARE NECK AND NECK IN EVERY GEAR UP TO 165.AT THE END OF 165 AT THE BEGGINING OF SIXTH,I START PULLING AWAY FROM HIM!! There is no ****in way a 430 is gonna take a 996ttX50 in any gear!!

As far as the 997tt,Well its hands down,Its gonna **** on the Ferrari in ANY gear and play with that thing just like the 996tt plays with the 360.

Again, its a matter of what you want to do. If you want to show off and show all the girls what you got, then get the Ferrari; If you want to show what you can do on the road, then get the Porsche...

Listen,Porsche is not stupid and they know that the 996tt sales and the whole turbo mystique has softened up. I KNOW that the new 997tt is gonna blow your ****in mind!!!!

Yeah, if they drop AWD if might have a chance of blowing my mind.

Anyway, you speak as if you can't show what you can do on the road in a ferrari? that seems kinda silly.

I guess if your idea of showing what you can do on the road is mashing the gas pedal and going in a straight line, then ya, of the two, the TT is the one to have. Everyone knows, however, that mashing the gas pedal takes little to no skill, and actual driving, you know, around corners, can be impressive in any car. So I fail to understand your argument.

Well as far as going around the curves are concerned;Where can you do that on public roads?
I understand your thoughts on the 430,but its alot of coin and you cant even get it!!
But the thing that bothers me is when people on this site start to compare the 430 to the TT. You CANT. The 430 is 100k more than the tt.
If Porsche made a turbo that was in that price range then you have a valid point, but until then you gotta look at the whole coimparison with the two with price in mind..
If you want a Ferrari then go and get one. But to drive every day and beat the **** out of,there is no substitute for the Porsche....

Did I mention that I'm a photo ****.

I don't care what anyone says, the F430 is just the greatest looking car with very good performance. I love that car!

Well, Jack and I tried, and look where it got us. And I agree with the comments in previous posts that if all you are looking for is acceleration stats, you and I value vehicle attributes differently.

If you want the whole mystique of the Ferrari, theres is nothing wrong with that.
But I would like to see what Ferrari has to offer at a Porsche price..
Again, its a matter of what you want.
In my opinion,if you could mount a pair of wings to both cars and fly across the Atlantic, which one would you get in..
