Question 430 or 977TT

Having thoughts of going for a 430,saw review on Top gear, and Jeremy gave it an amazing thumbs up.Thing is am bit skeptical regarding Ferrari s,as in to reliability and maintenance issues.Logic tells me go for next turbo or gt2.Do like to track,so i guess that is a factor.Would love to hear what you guys think.

well its pretty hard to get ahold of the ferrari, but if you can it's a pretty sweet car. The turbo will most likely be faster and better track times as the 996 does compared to the 360. Nothing is for sure though.

Reliablility and service costs on the 430 are going to be comparable to the 997TT, IMO. No more belt changes, service required at 5k miles (about $1K) and again at 15k and 30k. Ferraris have been quite reliable since the mid to late '90s.

430 is the clear answer. Especially if the 997TT is anything like the 996TT.

TT are good, but the F430 is a GREAT car. There is no doubt what the best choice will be (was).

The 997tt will never be a ferrari. The ferarri is an entry level supercar whereas the porsche is a really nice sports car. Personally, I'd pick up a Gallardo and drop 20K into the engine and have a really sweet car and tons of money left in my pocket.

A friend of mine has a 430 and he loves it. He is trying to convince me to get one. Next week ill have it to drive. We'll see what happens. I still dont find it visually appealing. He did say one thing, you must buy the 430 with the F1, if you are looking at 6 speed, dont even bother.

He said what makes the whole 430 experience is the f1 tranny. The 6 speed in it sucks.
