That is one UGLY vehicle

There is no way that car could sound good enough to get past how UGLY it is...

It reminds me of a stretched and flattened Pontiac Aztec, wonder if the Pontiac designers have taken over?

I'll take that over my TT anyday... too many TTs on the road today - lost its exclusivity IMO

Why do you care if your vehicle is exclusive? Does it matter if you see a few on the road in addition to the one you are driving?

Perhaps I have this all wrong... but I purchase vehicles based on performance and looks... and not on whether my neighbor has one.

If you want something exclusive which looks infinitely better than the Gallardo, I'd suggest an AMC Pacer... you don't see many of those on the road these days.

Hopefully this post doesn't come off sounding too bad... I just really don't understand conspicuous consumption.

Nothing personal Joe - its just that Porsche has mass produced the 996TT to such an extent that resale on them now is terrible. For the same 160K I spent on my X50 I oculd have bought a 360 coupe at MSRP and then sold it in a few months for maybe a bit over MSRP...The 993TT was produced in fewewr numbers and made it the Porsche everyone wanted to have not the one everyone actually has!
Nothing wrong with there being so many TTs except when it comes time to sell. I know deep down the TT is a better built and better performing car than any of the current ferrari line (excluding the Enzo). My point is that Porsche has become more oriented towards making money than keeping its image (they built a truck for example!!) which in a way is sad. I had a faulty tranny and one of my heated seats died in the first 2K miles on a 160K turbo. They are definitely sacrificing something for making so many...
