thx guys!! it could be alote worst ! very lucky it did not put a hole into block if rods is the case...!in fact im exited to see how bented are the rods but not exited to see how much it will cost lol

race ware head studs 685$
ebs complete gasket , ring and seal kit 1650$
if a indy shop is doing the labor, 2 engine removal and reinstalls 32 hrs.( head bolts must be retorqued after 2 heat cycles engine has to come back out) and 60 hrs labor for the rebuild if nothing major has to be refinished. 120$ per hr 11,000$ plus.

since your in the northeast maybe take it to tim941nyc and let him make a monster out of it.

how is saying "i told you so" helping? he knows the position he is in he doesn't need you gloating over his thread. a better way to help would be "what can i do" or help him find the parts to fix it. just my view and my .02

Yes I did... many times... I can't control others but I knew it was coming....
Im not creating any drama... if anything I kindly told you to turn it down... I was just trying to give you FREE advice... I was trying to tell you that you may hurt the motor... I guess its common now a days to get bashed as a sponsor for free honest opinion... at no gain to me...

the good news is the motor will be built stronger/better and mtslp will live to see even faster ( and safer lol ) times! i'm looking forward to hearing and learning about the upgrades myself. gl wit it!

32Krazy, wanted to ask about your comment above regarding re torquing the head studs after 2 heat cycles. Was this true of factory motors before the cars hit dealer lots originally? This sounds very inefficient from a mass produced manufacturing perspective.
