Is there any big difference in ECU tuning?

I see most places flash the ECU and claim to get around 100 added hp and about the same in torque. Is there really any difference in the reputable shops and their methods of flashing?

HI,At a basic level , stock turbo,, I believe now a days they are all pretty close but it will always be debated by tuners followers..
But going into the tunes for upper level mods,, that is really opening a can of worms but the case is that those tuners have their own ways and followings,,so I know personally from experience results will vary from tuners with same packages ..
Good Luck.

At this point I am hoping to keep it simple and add the tune and exhaust. I don't see in any near future I will be doing anything additional. I had a few 300ZX twin turbos in the past when I was younger and went too far in my opinion and it was difficult to have it run just right.

Hey Markski, I'm shopping around for tunes. What do you think you could get me up to with a Fabspeed MaxFlo exhaust, EvoMS diverter valves and EvoMS intake? Looking for something good for track not just a good dyno run.

Thanks!

Steve you have two different tuners offering you there services. Markski spends a whole bunch of time on here educating and sharing his knowledge for free and he really tries to do a fair and honest Job. I would say choose him over the other option!

you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal than a "try it for a week, if ya don;'t like it flash back to zero" lol.

i'd look at the 911 tuning tune for that reason alone. that said, protomotive is about as good as a tune can get. but there is a good reason ( SUPPORT ) which you;'ll need sooner or later that you'll get from the smaller indies ( 911tuning/umw etc ) that you probably wont get from giac/proto/epl or the bigger guys. not saying they WONT help, they are just "busier" is all.

There is no argument out there that VR / Agency power has happy customers out there.

But IMHO what VR has done countless times is take other Vendors products, sell them for a while then copy that product usually manufacturing it with cheap Asian sources. That is not a real uncommon business practice but IMHO that hurts the industry as a whole and Vivid is the king of that practice within after-market auto sector!

I went with free trial from markski. Few days later i decided to!keep the tune and pay for!it Glad im local! Not only he fixed my check engine light with tuning do to race cats but the car transormed. Car is fast enough stock for me but i wanted extra kick when i added exhaust and filter. It eats less gas as well
I raced my friends stock lambo gallardo lp 570 we did tons of pulls and i was pulling on him everytime.

Add me to the 911tuning.com fan club! Markski answers the phone or calls/texts back almost immediately! I'm very satisfied with his customer service and performance upgrades.
