Someone crawling out from under a rock and saying there is such a thing as a C4S Turbo is BS. That is implying the factory created it. It is a C4S that someone threw turbos on. Time to ignore this thread.

 

but even that doesn't matter dave? anyone spent ten minutes here knows there is no c4s turbo!? the way i read it? is that the guy said ( with irony ).. after reading of the original and fallacious CL posting!?! that began this inanity..

did you or someone fall into the mistaken notion they were attempting to purport it as a factory offered vehicle? i think not! perhaps the initial CRAIGSLIST post attempted that misidentification/representation, but the tech with one on the lift (?!) didn't!

on a side note?: what f'in planet is the water coming from that we all now drink? because something is affecting people and their capacity for discernment lol. i say keep this thread alive! it's testing people's intellectual mettle LOL

 

The car is an original 996 Carrera 4S converted new at Gemballa. It was the most powerful 996 sold back then at a claimed 750 bhp. It still is very fast and has proven to be quite reliable engine wise. The gearbox doesnt last. This is the third time it gets damaged due to excessive torque



Btw: I currently own two werks 996 Turbos. One of the last 996 turbo S manual (22k miles) in white with black GT3 seats, and a "slightly modded" triple black 2004 turbo cabriolet. I've had more than 10 996tts and 997tts all together so i know what is real and what is not.
If it was my money, i wouldnt buy this yellow car. I just repair it for the moment.

We read posts here on 6S because we love cars and we like to see what is done and how these cars are improved or not.

No one is pressed to read all threads. I didnt start this thread anyway.

As for the thread, if memory serves (I'm re-reading this mess), it was about the car being claimed as factory-built in the original CL advert. Clearly that was BS. But aftermarket? Hell, why not? After all... this exists:
