My forensics guy looked it over. He said the origin is below the weatherstrip a few inches back from the mirror. Is this an attachment point for the window to regulator?

I have been messing around with my car and having the battery off and on. When the battery was low and i hooked it back up, my window went up by it self. Maybe your tender is cycling it to low and playing havoc?

Pretty sure that is an attachment point.

Maybe there's something caught in the clamp that holds the window in place?

look for a situation that will cause undue stress in this area, like bending stress, that combined with the original glass defect will shatter the tempered glass. Urso, if you send me the bits of glass at the attachment point, my forensics guy will check if that was the origin, and why it broke.

I have a spare window motor in my parts bin...you can have it if you think you want to swap that out while doing the window. Let me know and I'll go check if it is a passenger or driver side motor.
