MoeMonney is infamous around these parts
After much research i've decided to go with the OHLINS R&T for my 996 turbo as I did on my 996 carrera. I was about to go with Feal Coilovers but the ride quality of the Ohlins keeps on coming up and I believe its better for the long terms to get the ohlins despite double the sales cost.

What do you think of the Ohlins in comparison to others? DFV makes a difference?

I have KW V3 on my turbo and R/T on my E90 and I wish I had them on the 911 instead of the V3s. Very comfortable even on stiff. I've been hearing good things about Feal's damping as well, considering getting a set for an E36.

About 2 years ago I installed the Ohlins R&T's on my 2001 996tt and have been blown away. Whether canyon carving or tracking, I've found them to be fantastic. On bumpy windy mountain roads, car was way more planted than the original 20-year old OEM suspension. They also have a **** you can tune for stiff track days and softer everyday driving. They did have a recall on the fronts, and I had to pull the old ones and replace with an updated design... something about a bad set screw. Cost me some money to get re-aligned after. But I presume if you get them new today, you'll have the updated design that has a little slot milled in the very top, almost like a flat-head screwdriver slot. I recall these shaving some ~5s off my best time @ Laguna, just from the confidence they inspired. Enjoy!
