Head unit upgrade, please help identify these.
I am working on upgrading my '01 PCM1 Navi + cassette tape + 6CD unit with JVC KW-NT810HDT.
Installing 2DIN adapter was the easiest part, now I am off to wiring and here is where I need help.
It seems that I have optional Harman digital to analog amplifier, plus some aftermarket piggybacking to it in the trunk.
I was told by professional who makes adapter harnesses that he can only help with power harness, the rest is CD/Navi DVD/Digital output connectors are are of no use to me anymore.
Option 1: remove all aftermarket stuff, plus 70lb, custom made subwoofer box from the back and wire everything with built into head unit amplifier.
Option 2: try to utilize what I have now (god knows what all this stuff is), so please tell me if this is any good and how old these parts are.
Option 3: buy nice JL Audio XD600/6, tack it in place of original Harman amp and use as much of existing wiring as possible.
P.S. it looks like I will have entire '01 Navi package/DVD/6CD/Amp for sale soon.

I recommend option #3.
That is what I did and have no regrets.
If you want deep bass you may want to keep the JL sub amp and incorporate it with the existing sub. You can make a quick release for the sub connection to allow easy removal for track days.
It is also not too hard to replace the dash and door speakers for better sound.
