No good with Double DIN though if ur doing that go with the function first kit IMO

ok installed the FF console riser kit and gear **** upgrade, haven't driven yet as I'm still waiting for my upgraded fuel pump to arrive.

I must say this is a real quality upgrade much better than OEM quality, arrives well packaged and was quite easy to fit although a little fiddly at times.

A fantastic edition to my 996T and worth every cent. The centre console now looks and feels stronger than ever before.

If you do this mod I know you will love it as much as me.

I will post again once the fuel pumps arrives and I have a chance to take it for a spin in the hills.

I will post again once I take for a spin up in the hinterland.

So I'm 6' tall and I can't imagine having the shifter higher or closer to anything.... Is this for people like 5'8" and under or something?

 

On the contrary, this works well for anyone who is too high up from the center console to bring the shifter and armrest closer. I'm 5'10" with a long torso and very happy with the results.

 

Haha im 6ft 2" shifting is much better and much faster with the shifter higher you should try it then you would agree.

There is a reason why the Cup Cars and all race cars shifters are higher buddy

 

Installed mine today. Pretty straight forward. Love the feel of the shifter being higher up. It also just looks so much better having the console actually in view, especially with my aluminum look and metro blue.

 

That looks pretty good, i dont know what it is though but something just doesnt look quite factory about it. I think it might be the way the HVAC controls are set into that new console piece. It needs like a faceplate that's color matched to the rest of your center console.

 

I don't have the adapters on the inside of the front stack for the climate control installed yet to straiten it out and I've orders a new rectangular trim piece for it. That should help clean up the look.
It's not oem but easily reverseable, which I also liked.
