996tt X50 making 1.1 bar - do I have a tune?
I bought my 03 X50 from a Porsche dealer. The salesman didn't mention anything about a tune, so I assumed the car was stock. However, I'm regularly seeing 1.1 bar on the boost display at WOT. Is this even possible with a stock tune?
X50 should see 0.9-1bar stock.
If you choose to tune back to stock, make sure it hasn't had any fuel system upgrades(FPR or injectors), or boost-enhancing mods(such as wastegates)...
If you aren't mechanically-minded, I would take to a good Indy and have them look around...

A X50 with K24s and a stock tune should indicate less boost than 1.1 bar. So, imho yes, you have some sort of tune or an outside chance of an inaccurate boost gauge or sensor. If you're curious you could contact the prior owner and ask them about it.
of course its tuned lol. nothing more frustrating than a mildly modded car with unknown provenance. i guess it's time to email all the tuners with your vin! and hope for the best lol

It took me all of 3 days to find out who tuned my car originally
Also OP join mycarfax.com for free and check the maintenance history, it will show up on that.. my car was done by Porsche Mainline and from that we worked out the tune by emailing them
