Le Mans Brake kit Group buy! Anyone interested?
Mike/A.W.E - Thanks for clarification on those brake, that my concern too as replacement cost on those PCCB is ridiculous. I might be better off saving my PCCB for sales.
Msindi- Looks like you are going for it.

You are right, I apologize -- I was not thinking about the MMC calipers. Having said this, I still believe that there will be a better answer in a few months -- and one that bolts directly to the vehicles without adaptor brackets.

Robert,
Forgive me for being somewhat ignorant. You seem to be quite knowledgeable. Who are you and are you opening a Porsche tuning shop in the near future?
Just curious, I appreciate you sharing you knowledge.
Thanks!

Robert isn't the type of guy to be tooting his own horn or his connections (job). Take it from me. He is more knowledgeable and connected then you can even imagine.

Bob,
The difficult part of making a caliper that needs no adaptor in this case is, while the GT3's and TT's share the same bolt pattern, they have differnt hub offsets. Since you are using these at Daytona I have to assume that you are building them for GT3's and I just wanted to point out that a GT3 kit that is intended for use on a TT will need to be supplied with differnt sized rotor hats. Stock 996's are a completely different story so it won't fit on them at all. Aother thing to think of is for those that want to run 14" instead of 15" will need to machine the caliper. My suggestion would be to build them for 14" rotors and design a spacer that makes it no heavier that standard 15 and offer it as an option. The other problem will be that the rear caliper will have to be different as well since the pattern is on the rear is differnt from the front.
Everyone else,
Has anyone contacted Chris Miller at Race Technology for a group buy? It seems they just had a special some time ago and I think is was something like $8500 for a complete Le Mans set up. They may have sold out though.

As to the calipers, without saying too much, I believe they will be better in multiple ways, will be lighter and will offer certain new features and, additionally, they should be a direct bolt on rather than requiring an adaptor bracket. In any event, unless one is absolutely in need of new calipers, I would, without doubt or hesitation, wait.

I'm in the process of ordering new wheels now (from a legitimate vendor this time - long story, another thread). Any way, I am waffling between 18 vs. 19.
Also, can you give me a ballpark for pricing on the new brakes?
Thanks Robert.
