Im confident enough to say the M6 will give a GT2 a good run. Like Dive said it has 7 gears and 8250rpm, and its using it very well. Im very impressed with a heavy car like that.

1999Porsche911 an M6 will chew you up...

Try running against an X50 Turbo or a GT2 for a more pertinent comparison... result would be different, I promise you.
They have, they have run the m5 against an SRT-10, gallardo, x50 turbo, chipped turbo, ruf yellowbird, and a slew of other cars.

Forget it, he has an old supercharged 996 and thinks he is the king of the world. Don't even bother....

Man, do you ever shut up? We know if your supercharged 3.4 liter was in the race you would have smoked everyone and sucked all the womens panties off that were in the vacinity, but honestly, just shut up for once.

Do you think the guys on m5board have any reason to lie? They did a shootout between the m5 and a ton of cars and had many unbiased opinions. Yes, the BMW V10 is faster than a stock non x50 turbo, not hard to believe.

Plus the driver of the porsche posted, what reason does he have to lie? For fun to amuse you?

What the hell is up your *** tonight. Look at the video. Are you saying that 30 - 150 MPH in 18 seconds is FAST? A stock TT will easily be faster than that. That is not debatable. A stock 997 would be close too. It has nothing to do with who said what. The video shows that the cars were slow.

Pull out what ever is stuck in your *** and maybe you'll feel better.

In this world of turbos and GT cars thats really slow- REALLY slow. Now the m6 has 500 hp compared to the 420 of the TT but wieghs 700 more pounds. YUP you full O crap.

Man, you go by the numbers that BMW gives which are underated instead of real world testing? Are you senile?

Just to let you know, porsche also underates their performance numbers as well... just a little secret I thought I would let you in on.

Almost forgot...the M6 only has a curb weight of 3,770 lbs. About 300 more than a stock TT coupe. Not 700.

read, weep.

The m5 and m6 trap in the 118-120 range, what don't you get?

It is very simple, in the real world, not in fantasy land where your comments come from, yes, the m5 and m6 are both faster than a stock 911 turbo.

The GT2 takes 8.4 seconds from 100-200kph.
I don't have the M6 number, but that would make the GT2 1 second faster than the M5. So, it would seem to be pretty darn close with the M6.

Some of you guys are missing the point. This thread is about the Video that was posted, and nothing else. Can any of you say that 30 - 150 mph in 18 seconds is fast, or is faster than your stock TT. I don't think so. I am not arguing what the performance of the M6 is in anything else than is what is shown in the video, which was being sold as displaying the awsome power of the M6.

As I stated, if what the M6 showed in the video is all it's got, then no stock TT has anything to worry about.

Let me translate this post for all of you:

Oh ****, I was wrong, quick, let me backpedal to save face. Let me stick to one moot point so I look like I have something coherent or of value to add.

You cant judge the car's speed by a video inside a car shooting another. The only thing judging their speed is the sound we hear. How do you know the when the car reached what speed? What if the M6 actually hit more, or what if your counting an extra 6 seconds where the M6 is not even at WOT.

Did you even look at the video? The M6 CANNOT go faster than 155 AND the video states that the top speed was 250 K/H. If you have ears, you can clearly hear when the throttle was cut back. Simply time the run from the start (which you can see and hear) to when the throttle cut out. You don't need calc of physics here. 18 seconds is what the M3 delivered.
