My favorite part of Natural Brown is the contrast with the brown leather and the black plastic. However, if you do not like this; Mansour is right, and you should go with Cinammon Brown.

Black/Natural Brown is the nicest combo, however the paint is too much of a PITA to care for.

I would go Ferrari Red/Natural Brown OR Slate Grey/Black.

Silver over Black, Silver shows all of the detail, especially on a car like the Turbo, a regular 996 black is very nice, I vote for silver.

If you get black, I would suggest the flat black over the metallic black. When my car is dusty, it looks very similiar to the metlic black. When it is clean the paint has a very deep, liquid texture.

All my cars are black/black - I like to maintain a low profile , like this car :
Low Profile Black Competitor Car

'nother vote for silver because...

black looks *good* when it's clean. I mean *just detailed* clean.
One half hour of driving after that collects just enough dust to
make it look dirty, and god forbid you ever do the slightest
abrasive to the finish, like rubbing too hard with a dry towel,
or get grit on a sponge etc. Then you have scratches that
would be invisible from 3 feet on a silver or white car, but
show up as irritatingly on a black car as if you'd scratched your
own cornea.

You are soo correct Joe. But it's the price you have to pay for that second to none "Just Detailed" Black Porrsche Turbo look! If I were to have a second 996TT (2 at the same time), I would go for something a little more flambouyant... like yellow or silver. For me, black/black is number 1 & I am prepaired to do the work to keep it looking sweet. But you are correct... it's a lot of work.

I have Basalt now and I had the old black metallic on a Boxster. Basalt does not have "brown" tones in the sun, it does have a slight purple tint in direct sunlight as was mentioned. The pre-'02 black metallic had a brown tint in sunlight.

I love the way Basalt looks in the sun, plus it shows now swirls like regular black.

Every time I see a silver or grey Porsche, I can't help but think that some of these people chose the color to offset in someway what the "outside world's" perception is of someone who owns a Porsche. You know like trying to show some humility or salt-of-the-earth attidude. "I'm wealthy but I don't want people to think of me that way."

Then there are those that truly like silver (which I think looks great with boxster red) or grey which is a great reason to order those colors.

Be true to yourself.

IMHO, of course.

I'd go for black, unless you do the BR.

Good luck.
