cheapest place to buy the stupid headlight washer cover?
How would you delete the whole deal? I'm never going to or want to use a headlight sprayer. Dumb.
Was thinking of 3m taping the cover to the light and removing the thing that shoots up to spray and block the hose under the light.

+1 - I'm going to be investigating that very closely before the summer. You can't buy just the cap. The cap comes with the whole spray assembly. If you remove the entire light enclosure, it's not that hard to remove the spray nozzle. I think the trick will be trying to come up with a nice looking way to cover the hole that's left if you don't put the cover back.

Try suncoast under lights, it's still expensive at $52.00

The cap by itself has nothing to attach to. If you remove the washer, you're just left with a hole. The attachment points for the cover would be gone. I'd like to make something that results in a completely flush surface that would allow for painting the light enclosure the color of the car giving us the oval headlight look.
Edit: I still don't get it - If you look at the part closely, it looks like it would withstand much more than the measly 35 MPH required to make the cover separate from the car...

The plastic on the chrome piece is pretty fragile and doesn't look like it's meant to ever be removed. I broke mine as well. Instead of prying it up, I remove the headlight and use a bicycle pump to push air through the back so the washer cover pops up. Then clamp it and remove the cover stem. Works like a charm.
Try Sunset in Oregon; I found they have the most competitive prices.

the chrome part isn't supposed to detach from the nozzle as they are all one piece, with the chrome bit obviously being the outer visible portion. they only detach at speed
some design items on this car had to have been afterthoughts, or perhaps just "little thought" lol

Its a bad design for sure but a small price to pay for all the great attributes the car offers= especially for the price. Wanted to add agree with idea of just disconnecting and blocking hose and keeping factory look. I will keep it stock and hopefully it wont happen= I try to never set off the launch sequence at speed lol.
