Headlight assembly problem

Did a search and did not come up with a good answer, help please . . .

My entire left light assembly is out, as of yesterday. This means no headlight, running light or turn indicator on the driver's side. I originally thought I just had turn indicator light out (fast blinker), but later I discovered the whole assembly was out.

I am familiar with the headlight switch issue as I replaced one in my C2 last year, could this be the same problem? The last time I had the switch issue, both headlights were out (I don't remember if the running lights were affected), but I don't think the turn indicators were an issue. Is there a fuse that covers the whole light assembly? I don't think so, it's almost as if the whole light wasn't connected up, but losing all connections in one night seems highly improbable. TIA, KH

Take out the assembly and check with a test light, may have came slightly loose where connected to harness.

I had similar problem on my C4S. The latching mechanism wasn't fully engaged. This was because the hokey wrench thingy was sort of stripped. I used a little metric socket on a long extension and that fully seated the light assembly into the socket.

Thank you, Gents

Sometimes I hate it when I'm so dumb . . . Not realizing that the whole assembly is connected with a single Molex connector, the fact that the light wasn't seated properly makes 100% sense. I (foolishly) thought that each light had its own wire assembly, as I have never taken the headlight out before.

I appreciate the help and I went to YouTube to watch how easy it is to R&R a headlight. Love this place, KH
