Ideas on front end mods
So I am not usually a "body mod" guy, but...
My midnight blue 996 is getting the strosek wing blade painted and installed soon.
I like that one, because it is subtle.
I was thinking about being subtle on the front end too. I love the RUF front bumper and the GT2 front bumper...I just don't think I love it enough to justify the cost.
So I was thinking of either going Aero splitter or Joe Toth splitter.
Thoughts?

I'm a fan of my aero splitter. Plus, at under $100 for a urethane one on ebay, you cant go wrong. At first I had one painted to match my arctic silver, but after a few scrapes it got kind of ratty looking. On my second splitter now, I left it unpainted black and much prefer the look.
the places and ways in which i drive dont allow for anything lower ( car is 1/4 below gt2 as is..) so i stay with the c4s lip w indent. while i initially made a derisive comment about joe toth's work, that splitter is a very serious looking piece, but wouldn't serve me as I'm going super fast lol at xx on twists. so no need for a piece like that. plus it would take a leg off if you happen to stand in front of it, and get hit. goodbye lower extremities.
if you track or regularly see trip digits? i'd probably look into that toth or the one enrique who "was" here that probably hangs out in the gt3 section was making. similar to toths. or yeah, that oem aero is a simple cpl screws too,.. on/off.

^ i struggle with that reality every day. since i cant wrench myself, but have befriended ( out of necessity ) a pcar brown belt tech. i am working on this thing damn near every week. mods are positively addictive. the whole process, and i know i'll never see a dime back if god forbid i ever had to.... ...nah, aint gonna happen lol
..but man, there's a few large worth of stuff i want/NEED!? from precision porsche or whatever they're called now. exactly! good call.

guess I'm only need about 20k$ to make it happen!
proper gt2 front bumper, c/f hood, fenders painted to match and non sunroof roof. add a wicked motor works 997 gt3rs style rear decklid (http://wickedmotorworks.com/partdeta...p?partid=10191) and a set of pccb and I'm set for the cosmetics!

guess I'm only need about 20k$ to make it happen!100%! me, I'm leaning toward their 997 t/a style ( is it is t/a GT?..not the gt2 ) front w led drl's. I think it looks sick if not a bit "modified'
. then pair it with that gt3rs decklid like 911al had/sold here.( came from wicked iirc?? ) ...all for 1/4th of what my car is worth on the street lol. hmm..lemme think on that
but for another 10k I'd be happier with a 3.8 build which no one would ever see lol.

Definitely Precision if you want to go aftermarket..The body shop I took my Precision parts to was surprised as to how little prep work needed to be done and how well the parts fit.
If you're keeping the OEM front bumper on..The Joe Toth splitter has to be one of the best additions for it..

I like #4 too and have the Techart front bumper now (#5). What exactly do you mean by "a whole bunch of stuff to do"? I agree it would look great with the LED tails
No front plate for me, not been pulled over for it yet in this car so far

..and then there is full paint to match. for me, thats a whole lot of work, but i'm leaning toward upgrading my car with it, and i love precisions stuff..have an in so i'd get the best possible $ on it..
or dumping my hill climber and grabbing a hi miles 997.1tt. miles dont scare me
( obviously lol )so, its a conundrum, as all that work ( for me ) wouldn't be easy, and it would be a good month of jonesing for boost

thats what i mean, by a "whole lotta work" lol
Okay, thought maybe you knew something I didn't about ducting or fitment. Tracking down the LEDs and matching paint is indeed a hassle, I'm silver as well. But I really like the look! I currently don't even have access to the tow point on my car so the tag gets shoved in the window occasionally. I've got some damage on my existing bumper to repair eventually from rocks and road debris so switching is pretty tempting, but other work first. Been admiring that front-end for awhile though....
