Glasgo is infamous around these parts
Gt2 decklid part number

Hi,

I had some parts off of my car this week while completing some small projects. Have a GT2 front bumper and decklid on my 996tt. Front bumper was confirmed to be real as it has a porsche part number stamped on it, along with made in Germany but am trying to find where a part number would be on the decklid. The decklid is raw carbon on the inside, trying to see if it is authentic or not? Any insight on authenticating the decklid would be great. I feel like porsche wouldn't leave the inside of a decklid raw carbon like that? Thanks for any insight.

Someone on the forum here just purchased a factory 996 OE Swiss market Carbon fiber deck lid. I'm wondering if it was the one that was on ebay for awhile. In any case, the CF one had a 996. Part number

are you referring to the spoiler or the lid? 2004+ had CF spoilers/'wing'..
the lids only came in FRP, not CF.

Referring to deck lid. The "barbaric build" thread has some info on it.:

I knew I read about it not long ago. I also remeber the ebay ad stating it was a rare factory carbon fiber piece. I too was skeptical, but also not aware of a Swiss/ European only market.

That isn't a GT2 deck lid though...pic posted of lid you're referring to:

I was only bringing up the fact that a CF deck lid was OE made, which could potentially mean a CF GT2 lid could have also been produced by Swiss Porsche.

as far as I can verify, Porsche never made a CF 996TT lid, that part number is 996tt aero kit wing from what I can see...perhaps it has been made by aftermarket or is OEM and CF 'wrapped'...
