Online Friends!

Guys,

Not trying to get all sentimental and mushy on you all. But, you guys are some of my best friends and most of you I have never even met!

I have met Colin and Tony from PES, Ken-KPV, Sean, Chad, Maxiter, and a few others I am forgetting. But most of you I have not met. Yet, it does not seem to matter because we are all car nuts and understand each other. I just don't get people that don't get into cars. My brother in law could care less what he drives, that is hard for me to imagine!

Anyhow, just thought it was wierd to have all these friends that I never get to meet. I will be meeting some of you at the TOTD meet in North Carolina and some others at the Shootout in Cali!

That is why we need to keep having these get togethers, so you can meet the people in flesh we spend so much time talking to every day.

I really think we need a National 6 speed meet somewhere!

Anyhow "I Love you Man!"

Same goes here Budman!!!
It seems the people who are not into cars are somehow resistant to the crazy virus we have all contracted. It's the best kind of disease to have, IMO although quite expensive to treat!!!!

If all goes well, I hope to scoot down to Buttonwillow on Dec 2nd and fulfill my destiny as an innocent bystander.

sometimes i can't even understand how people can not be obsessed with cars? It seems so foreign to me. I think those people might have something wrong with them

Awwwwww, Buddy, that's so sweet of you, you big teddy bear.

Seriously, I know what you're all saying and agree. I'm not surrounded by car nuts all day, but there's the occaisional ray of hope here and there.

Can't wait for TOD.

I still spend a great deal of my time on the 968.net boards. For the past two years I have gained quite a few really good friends. Every year there is a big 968 gathering in Hershey (same weekend as the annual swap meet) Anyway I flew out there this past April and met 60 or so of the guys I chat with on a weekly basis. It was a great experience the guys were just as great in person. I highly recommend a 6 Speed Annual event... Rennsport Reunion????

I have written before about the friendships as well Buddy. You know how I feel about that.

Regarding meets......................

There will be a national meet for 6speed in 2004. The point would be to unite the west and east coasts. The location and venue is yet undetermined. We (Colin and I since we are getting used to this) are also considering building a Cannonball/Gumball type of approach into it to make it really interesting..............synchronize start times on the west and east coasts and see who gets there first. It would be nonstop just like the original Gumball Rally and Cannonball Run, without the posh overnight stays as in the current crop of events like these. We would have a common start location for the east coast guys and a common start location for the west coast guys. The meet location would be precisely the 1/2 point between them.
Of course you can come and not have to compete to get there.

We need a really catchy name for it............
It should include the 6speed name.......
How do these sound as a start?

6SpeedAmericana
6Speeditious
