He knew and was totally ok with it...I thought my friends were setting me up until he came over and asked personally to check out the car. Apparently he got complaints of people leaving cars & coffee doing burnouts and then saw us and came over to chat. He told us he was expecting a bunch of Civics

Here in my area they would have smiled and then handed me a ticket for noise violation

Actually... 2-step is a lower rev limiter than redline so yeah different. In this case, if that's anti-lag timing and fueling are also being adjusted so that burning fuel exits the exhaust valve and expands in the header to spin up the turbo. Not a traditional rev limiter at all in that case. The terms do actually mean something particularly on a stand-alone...

 

In two party states some of them are getting cute and attempting to charge with "wiretapping". It's not valid but it drags you into a legal case that's a pita. Oh and at least one state is making it illegal if you're within something like 25feet - I don't expect that to stand. (Sigh)

Big ups for these officers having a sense of humor and being cool guys about it. Too many simply aren't

 

They weren't all that cool, I passed several cops on the road leaving the event and there was an Aventedor pulled over only a couple miles down the road...

 

There have been a few cruises and whatnot shut down around here due to asshats. Guys in straight pipe BMW getting sideways, punks in Honda, and other idiocy really does need to get pulled over so that the rest of us can have some peace. Getting real crazy leaving a cruise when there have been complaints and police nosing around really is kinda' asking for it lol

 

A few of the guys I was with thought this cop was a ploy while his buddies got in place lol

I will say there were plenty of cars pulling out onto one of the busiest roads in the area with big clouds of smoke and tails kicking out. I asked the officer for permission and he was all for it. We both had a good time, got a story out of it, and went our separate ways. It's the asshats that nearly cause an accident when leaving meets that ruin it for everyone
