Which one would you choose?
I get what your saying but I don't think it has the impact you think it does. The person selling that house would not have to sell the house at 250K if there is other demand because somebody else will buy it for a higher price. If by chance the market value is actually 300k and the person sells at the first low offer (let's say because they were trying to leave the country and had to move fast) that anomaly would have no affect on the housing market in that neighbourhood. There is a chance that it might drive down the price of the next house by a smaller margin but it won't take long for the market to adjust back to a reflection of supply and demand. Now if there is no one to buy it at a higher price then it drives down the prices because demand is low at that price point and no other comparable house would sell at a higher price unless demand increased for some reason.
The only reason the 996 turbo is starting to stabilize in price is because of the demand brought forth from the people who can now afford the 996 turbo but not a 997 turbo for example. You're kidding yourself if you thinkin the entire market can be influenced by the odd good deal.
Anyway I understand what your saying and can appreciate your opinion but I don't agree. We can argue this all day long but it's not worth it for either of us.

How about a compromise as a low mileage car that was maintained properly. Your car Krazy is I'm sure as nice or nicer then mine but most run from a track car, you could also say racing is way of garnering attention in a immature way. I love racing and also believe that a car can be owned by a wealthy person that enjoys it. I would like to see people be stewards of our cars and promote positive attributes and that includes not undermining prices. And yes I know no one care about my opinion lol..

PS, sorry to the OP for going off topic.
I would go with #1, but mainly because of the x50 option and that seems to be a pretty fair price already! The only thing is the grey interior...IMO, it makes the interior look more dated than black or tan. And they tend show dirt and wear very easily. I also looked at some silver/grey, black/grey combo cars when I was searching and glad I went with the black.
Either way, you'll be happy with whatever you decide!!!!

I too think #1 sounds like the better deal. I'd want the ECU read to find out how many overrevs it's had and if possible PPI'd by another dealer or this one with results in writing. I have a silver\black car and I think the combination is pretty nice. I wouldn't sweat the warranty on the exhaust for a minute and won't be surprised at all if you decided to switch it for something later. Test drive it, see how high it boosts. I believe the X50 boosts slightly higher than the K16 turbo but you will want to gauge if it's got a tune or not. You'll want a tune at some point I'm sure
X50 has very slightly better intercoolers too which is good but also something you might swap down the line.
#1 hands down at 40/42k but NO more. the other car while garaged is gonna have stuff it needs from sitting. could even be leaking rams LOL.
stay away from a collector car under 10k miles unless you're rmc
and think you're gonna profit on your two/three year old purchase ( not lol )

I have never said I would profit as a matter of fact I said the opposite and thank you blkmgk for correcting that spelling error as most of the time I'm not paying that much attention. Most that belittle lower mileage cars do it because they are on the other end of the spectrum. I love higher mileage cars but never kid myself as they are usually worn and worth very little. My wife is an attorney/cpa and she read some of the comments stating they surely cant be that naïve. Yes its a matter of price/demand but as owners we have a lot to do with what people think and when we suggest low prices they will follow..

^^^ had to bring backup in, didja? LOL
mom, the kids are being mean to me again
hah
i'm just kidding. it;'s like me saying someone has "turbo envy" when extolling the ( what? ) virtues of k16's over k24's? only in lala land. low mileage cars arent worth the premiums folks generally pay is my take on it, while higher mileage cars owned by ENTHUSIASTS such as myself are in perfect mechanical condition and maintained WEEKLY which is often more *valuable* than low mileage queens, if not monetarily lol
tell me who does that?!, that isn't racing weekly??

I never comment negatively about you or your car and she reads over my shoulder which I hate. I'm a big boy I do not need anyone to fight my battles. I believe every car has its place/use but to believe a low mileage car cannot be as well kept mechanically as yours is nuts.
#1 for sure especially if its x50 package. 46k is "fair" but it doesn't hurt to try to take a couple of grand off, offer 40 and see where he settles for.
If its a small lot, they won't take more than 2k off, if its a big time dealer you will be surprised at what the mark up is.
If you offer the dealer 50k when they'r asking 46, you think they will say no we are only want 46 and not take your money, their job is get as much profit as possible, you just have to find out what is the real minimum they will take.
Good luck and I hope you get it....

I would jump on #1. Their asking is damn good, IMO. I wouldn't feel bad paying close to their asking either.
In the end, if you want the car, get it. A few extra grand for a nice car Vs one that's not is a no-brainer.
In fact, if you decide against #1 let me know, I might pick it up myself.

I guess its not a money issue for me as I would rather have lower miles and do the repairs as they come up. I do not agree with the buy with miles so things break and get replaced mentality as I have owned cars that I drove to the 200k area and the repairs always started around 70-90k at least for me. I'm going to be shopping for something more exotic and believe me it will probably be mid miles= but I will never try to compare it to something well kept low mileage.
