Exhaust
I've had the 2.5 X-cellerator for around 4 years now I guess, no issues, sounds good. It has done the job, I think the exhaust is a great choice if you want a nice balance, not too loud but definitely louder than stock, especially under wide open throttle. I believe their 3" version is a bit louder, if that is what you are looking for. I sometimes wish I would have gone with the 3" version, as my TT is not a daily driver, and when I drive it, that is what I'm looking for
Good luck.

Good luck.
Thanks for your input.. I have reached out to them as well to discuss my options.

Unobtanium is going on mine simply because I think chris has a handle on the drone. However don't expect it to simply ship when ordered as he hand fabs them and makes constant improvements it seems. Mine had to go back due to damage in shipping and he's redoing the drone pipes and the tip that was damaged! The wait is killing me though

I got to see it and hold it for a day, it was light, WELL built, heavy duty, and neither Chris nor myself could figure out how the hell UPS damaged the tip without destroying the box. It had a cardboard tube over it AND bubblewrap and while the box wasn't pristine it wasn't full of holes either. It should be fixed this week and I'll have it on ASAP. It has NO muffling but shouldn't drone - my only worry is that it might be a touch loud but so long as it doesn't drone me out of the car like my existing system I'll be fine with a little more volume.

Unreal with the damage.. I'm Curious to know how it works out for you and how you like it. Keep me posted if you don't mind. I know they have a few different options, which one did you go with? And if you don't mind me asking how did it run you?

If you have to time to wait, Chris's exhaust is well worth it. I waited 6+months for mine and have another under construction. The exhaust is about as free flowing as it gets and truly has zero drone. I was incredibly skeptical and absolutely shocked that it has lived up to everything promised and then some. The exhaust running on my rebuilt 3.8 engine makes the car sound like an angry GT3 Cup car. As you can see in the picture below, I had Chris incorporate a pair of small mufflers prior to the tips and am very glad I did. There is very little turbo whistle audible which further masks the fact that it is a turbo car. Pretty amazing actually for an emission compliant exhaust.
If I didn't have Chris's exhaust, I would opt for the Inconel Kline 70mm exhaust. These guys are quickly into a premier exhaust manufacturer with great Porsche offerings. Good luck in your search.

No. Some of the early ones did but one of my criteria was that I wanted the packaging to be nice and tidy. It actually tucks up a little higher than stock.
Great
That's great advice. Thank you. I've reached out on here. Maybe I'll get lucky
I used to run a RUF exhaust. Put down 590whp on 91 octane with it on Dynojet. OEM quality, full emission complaint with 100 cell cats but very pricey. Zero drone.
I've seen those but unfortunately that version of the Bailey DV30 valves will not work on our cars. Those will work on 944s where you have the room to route the line straight up. You need the version that has a 90º nipple on top. There is no room on our cars to route the line straight up like that. No way. I have had the Bailey DV30 (with the 90º nipple) on my car for the last 9 years. They are a superb product but it's a shame they are no longer made.
