Thoughts on Converting to RWD
I converted my car to RWD when I had it. I did it because my front diff was toast anyway and my AWD was squat. I was close to 600whp and 650wtq. I had major wheel spin issues, even with drag radials. My 60-130 definitely suffered, as I can see the wheel spin in my logs. If I had to do it over again, I would do a LSD, no matter what kind of driving you do. This will give you the ability to put the MOST power down (if not all), if you are modded. A lack of a LSD will have less of an effect if you are stock or lightly modded.
With an LSD it was a different story so If you do not have it, you do not know what you are missing.
I'm thinking of trying RWD and really don't want to disassemble my OE front axles with only 27K miles on them. I want to fully remove them and the diff, drive shaft to get full effect. The light nimble steering is more important than the added power to me as that's what I miss most in from my C2. Oh, the RWD tail weighted bias throttle steer too, big time. Anyone know of available options, used axles available, stubs, etc?
Thanks for offers of newly produced stubs but I'm not looking to spend mega cash on this project. I have 5 other vehicles that are currently registered and insured demanding part of my pay checks.

Thanks, I have read hundreds of posts on AWD conversions, some say GT2/3 will work, other say no, no one says exactly why they don't fit. I found out yesterday before your post it's the speed sensor gear size.
