when i get in the car now for a DRIVE, instead of having to engage the clutch i now autonomically disable the button at the dash, so technically it is only "off" until and unless the brakes are applied, then as i understand it, the psm can/will activate. but then when i am throttle steering and availing myself of the joy of a near 575+ rwd tt, i am not usually applying the brakes, but rather menacing squirrels

again, it's "braking" that will re-activate the psm/abs concurrently as i understand it "dash button off". the genuine way to rid oneself of it, obviously would be to follow powdrhounds lead, and disable it completely leaving only abs. but when i just ...*drive* as opposed to DRIVE i dont bother with it. i dont really fancy orange dash lights lol so a nice circle cut of elec tape may be on my future "mods" list

but rwd w psm OFF is a gas. literally

Wow Mark, your brain must be wired to your laptop...that must be one of the quickest lengthy replies I have ever witnessed.
I'm guessing your driving style would be very similar...I can just picture you throttle steering that beast...lol..and thank you for your reply, it really is appreciated....mind you I'm typing this while on head cold tablets.

Jim.. I will report back after another 1000 miles or so as the usage of 5w50 really got heavier after I crossed 2000 miles since the last oil change....

There were no metal particle though in my oil filter on the 5W50 and the 0W40

4.30 am riser here...

I also drive RWD with PASM off at all times....

Actually, mixed it up yesterday and did my 25 mph corner at 51 mph with the PASM on........ meh that is boring....

Good alignment and RWD is driving perfection.... more exciting in this car than any dual clutch thing I drive or have driven

Hey Jim,
Have not tried the Mobil 5w50 but it should also be a great oil based on sample analysis/PDS online...I'd run whatever is easier/'cheaper' to source locally.

I have a new batch of Mobil 5/50, I'm thinking of swapping with Castrol.

I love them to bits too, drove my dad's '74 2.0 as a highschool car , they're a hoot either as a bone-stock collector car or full track car. Just need to get them fuel lines fixed up before going to enjoy them.

Imagine us all as neighbours! Porsche heaven haha
