Stock making 1.3 bar and higher.

Hi guys,

after changing the spark plugs,
replacing the clamps on the intercoolers & turbo hoses
and cleaning the MAF
the car makes 1.3 to 1.5 bar when i make a full throttle run (any gear).
Just to be 0.8 - 0.9 bar.

I have no idea what's wrong (if anything is wrong) any suggestions on this?
No durametric so no fault codes available.

Also looking for the correct ref. to this coolant hose on the passenger side
(which bursted during the test runs)

after my search in PET i'm not sure it's the correct one.

Thanks in advance,
Patrick.

Check to be sure the vac lines are on the turbo wastegates secure. Did you do any work on top? If so, check N75 connections, etc.

EDIT: OP, I also just noticed your avatar - the Porsche Design hot water kettle! LOL I had one of those 10 years ago! The toaster, too.

I'm gonna guess it's tuned.

Easy to tell, too. Any local dealership or someone with a Durametric can read your DME to tell you if there are any "programming events" in there. If >1, then there was a post-factory tune put in.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Check for boost leak, if it used to make .8-.9 and now 1.3 it looks like the wastegates are not working, maybe a hose come loose while doing the plugs.

I'm confused

Boost leak test at the turbo inlets or testing after the MAF ?
Our those 2 different tests

Do i need to do both test to be sure?

Yep i'm a turbo noob.

always test from the turbo inlets. it;s rare that doesnt reveal the cause of any leak(s). waste gates being out of whack or bad n75 or even the notorious check valves along the intake system going bad are also probable and likely sources of your issue(s) if the boost leak testing doesn't instantly reveal a leak.

but "it" will help you locate those, but it won't tell you whether the n75 is bad or if the wg's are not opening equally and to their proper settings.
