Examples of 996's with cool projector lights, for weight saving purposes, to maximize performance:

When you see the pictures and compare to OEM lights, they are a must have if you are building a 996 MONSTER, aren't they?

I like the two H&R cars although I'd want a colored LED for the turn signal instead of the lens. HID for sure too! I didn't think it would be too easy to improve upon what we've got stock, I was way wrong! :-O

Up close you wouldn't like them. These are race cars and the point is just getting light output for night racing. The lenses are polycarbonate and use exposed screws. They look cool but not "finished" by any means.

i dunno.. they'd work for me..that black and silver h&r stickered car looks great. i guess i'll just look for some h&r/pirelli/bosch stickers to hold me over since those lights won't ever get made. i use all that sh*t ha

I wonder if Shane from DRC is viewing this thread? Shane, are looking for ideas with your headlight building project? Personally I would like to see the headlights made like thes: painted/molded Black insides, the two hid projectors and the outer lens without the washer/sprayers!! I never use mine.

Would be expensive and I'm 99% sure not legal. I like the look but they would have to be more refined= no exposed screws etc for me to consider.

One thing to consider is that if you use HID for your high beam you have issues with flashing the lights. Some cars use a single capsule and a shield so high is simple pulling the shield up but flash to pass takes a moment for the capsule to ignite. I upgrade my Imprezza lights to full projector HID and it uses a single bulb like that. I don't find it to be a big problem but it might bother others. I would also like to see some sort of led running light maybe and certainly a turn signal should be led. Wish the side marker flashed with the turn signals and I wouldn't mind a bulb in the mirror housing either

Holy crap!!! I need louvered front fenders! Slider, let's get these going in addition to the headlights!
