Can someone rank the stock porsche Intercoolers for me

I know there are various stock type intercoolers I can use, can someone rank the below from best to worst or add any others that might be in the mix.
I'm considering a 997 IC but heard they arent that much better than the stock 996.

So we have
997.2 GTRS
997.1 GT
997.2 TT
997.1 TT
996 X50
996 GT
996 TT

I don't know which ones are the same and which are better than the other except that the base 996 TT is on the bottom... I want a plug and play IC where i don't have to cut or modify the stock shroud.

Thanks

997.2 will be the easiest fit but anything larger than a x50 cooler will require some form of fitting either in the mount bracket or the ductwork

For a Porsche intercooler for our cars Steve is right, 997.2RS all the way. The regular 997.1 is no better than stock.

they are all inadequate until you get to the 997.2 i/c from there it depends on how you drive the car.

Thanks Rob, so basically there are only three variants of the stock Porsche intercoolers?
996 x50 and GT2 are the same as 997.1 GT?
And all 997.2s ate the same?

Thanks this helps a lot.

Core-wise, yes.

996 x50 and GT2 are the same as 997.1 GT?
Except for pin locations on the inlet tank, yes.

And all 997.2s ate the same?
Yep!

^+1...yup!
#1 =996tt
#2=996X50/GT2 & 997.1TT/GT2, similar to above with extended 'finning' on core
#3=997.2 TT/TTS/GT2RS, better/finer core design

This is interesting, according to the Champion test the 997.2 flows less than the 997.1...

thanks for sharing the link, nice to see products tested with actual results...
Does make sense to me .1 vs .2 , higher heat-shed efficiency(higher/denser fin count) at the cost of flow(fins blocking flow)...all depends on your setup what will work 'best'

I know that I've been told that raising flow can lower the amount of heat pulled so the converse would likely be true. Putting higher flowing larger inlets on a cooler and testing it back to back showed less IAT drop but higher flow\higher HP. Balancing act it seems, shame space is such a premium.
