I'm looking at some werks intercoolers, what is needed to make them fit 996. I think I need some custom hoses?

Easy is a relative term but yes, they will fit in the cages. You will only be able to seat 3 of 4 mouting pins (not a big deal) and you will have to trim the ducts. You are correct in that you will need a custom hose solution.

I ran the gen 2 2010 Cms coolers for a while which should have the same profile.

Are these the older werks 1 coolers with 12 rows or the later with 11 rows? (If its the older, you may be better off with Wagner or other options which come with the hoses and offer similar performance for a reasonable price -unless you're getting a screaming deal of course)

Do you know if the 997 IC assembly and mounts will fit in a 996?

They are the 12 row ones from what I can see.
Did you run them on a 996TT, if so what hoses did you use.

Just an update if anyone comes across these Intercoolers.
I fitted the Gen1 Werks1 Intercoolers to my 996TT.
I used the Wagner Intercooler hose kits which fits perfect.

A slightly cheaper option for hoses may be http://www.ebay.com/itm/371451577993
but they may be slightly shorter as the ebay ones are made for the stock intercooler couplings.
