Will Cargraphics lightweight door panel affect airbag light?

Hi,

I have a 996 turbo -01 and I am interested in installing Cargraphics lightweight door panel. My only concern is that since the original door panels have airbag and the lightweight doors doesn't I guess the airbag light will probably warn that it is missing contact with the airbag in the doors. Is that true?

Thanks,

You need to use a resistor in each airbag's plug. IIRC it was 2.7 Ohm one. Google...

BTW, how does those door panels look like? I installed Boxster's ones (no airbags or loauspeakers) to my car.

I use resistors in my Audis for aftermarket seats/airbags= works like a charm.

Here is the link to the interior page on cargraphics. Scroll down do the door panel kit. I am interrested in the alcantara.

Thanks for the recommended solution. Although I am not that experienced to install a resistor into the air bag plug myself I will ask if my mechanic can help me with that.
