taillight broke options?

So was speeding around today doing datalogs and came home to find my passenger tail light missing! It seems that the tabs holding the light somehow broke. Looked for new tail light and found that they are insanely expensive! I found that a company called Delray is selling LED for $895 a set. Does anyone have these? What is your experience? What type looks best?

Also if anyone has a oem passenger taillight they want to sell please email me asap.

Thank you.

-Vince

Umm, there are entire threads devoted to these lights - pics and comments about quality etc. I have them on my car and love them, updates the car nicely! Check out the pic thread and find an example of a car that's your color to see how they look. There are multiple models to choose from so to speak.

the tabs always break sooner or later. the del rey lights are an improvement. at least i think so ( red/smoke ) and were a needed upgrade as my stockers were falling off. i did already need one replaced as some led;s failed but i am local and just went in and drove off with a replacement in 5 mins. no questions asked.

worth the cost. though not cheap, they do really freshen it up back there and i'm complimented on both the car, and the lights in a almost ridiculously frequent way. esp since the lights went on.

two thread with tons of pics. search.

Sometimes I am tempted to offer my OEM lights in good shape so I can subsidize the upgrade...

I have one crack in one tab, but it's still 100% functional.

Yikes, good thing I saw this post. I noticed I have one whole tab missing on pass side taillight and a small piece missing off the driver side!! So basically I have one screw holding in each taillight! I better think of something (maybe a plastic tab) to hold these suckers in! That would be embarrassing and **** me off if I lost a taillight during a drive!!!!

Yea I was thinking about making something like a small half circle plastic tab (that doesn't look to janky) that I can put under the screw that will grab the edge of the plastic of the taillight and hold it since the actual tab is gone. At least until I can get them replaced/upgraded to the LED lights.

Washers and epoxy or carbon fiber if you want to get fancy will fix those tabs. I had perfect taillights and the dealer cracked both= but they did buy new so I good for awhile.

Yup. I just noticed small cracks on the tabs on my rear lights.
Washers and epoxy is on my "to do" list when I pull the rear bumper off to do coils/plugs shortly.

There was a real good write up here or on rennlist where a guy used carbon fiber= came out really nice. A search should bring it up.

Had cracks on mine when pulled, the LED lights have steel washers to prevent over torque from cracking them. If you're modding the stock lights it might be a worthwhile addition.
