I expect a response tomorrow, but perhaps they will respond faster to the Shark!
LOL once I ge the bit between my teeth I don't stop until I've got at least an arm and a leg...

I sure as hell hope I don't need to have to bring out the duct tape again for a special guest appearance for the extinguisher

Alex,

I understand. Stephen and I will meet up one of these days. Actaully, I will be leaving my car a S Car Go Racing until spring or the wheather clears (dry). Until then, Sugar Bowl opens on the twenty first of this month and I intend to do about 110 days of skiing.

Sharky and Doug, The BK fire ext mount for GT3 seats requires you to change the seat rails to the BK ones in order to use it, that was what I understood when I spoke to them, so we mounted on the rollbar instead.

Jasclass,
Thanks for the input. If that turns out to still be the case, I may have George at AkkuratPGI whip up a bracket or two for me / us.

Ok, seems that B-K says the only way they can get the extinguisher under a GT3 seat is to change to their side mounts, add the anti-sub bar and then the bracket.

Since the BK anti-sub bar is made to bolt to the stock sliders, I don't see why we need to BK seat side mount brackets as they seem to be uninvolved.

I am not convinced, so I ordered the anti-sub bar and the bracket, and I have the seat and really big hammer, so we will see...

I'm not keen on modifying safety equipment (rails). If we can't find a bolt on solution, I will go with the roll bar mount.

Watt;
Thanks for the reference to your earlier pictures.

I understand Safecraft’s extinguisher & billet mount. The "b-k sub bars and brackets" & how they work with the GT3 seat brackets and sliders are what I am trying to resolve.

I know B-K says we must buy their seat mount brackets, but frankly they don't always know everything about what they make and how (or why) it goes together.

There seems to be no question that the B-K anti-sub bar bolts directly to the STOCK sliders. We know we need the B-K anti-sub bar and we need the extinguisher mount from B-K. Why must we replace the brackets (that come with the seat securing it to the stock sliders) with the brackets that B-K sells (that secure the very same seat to the very same stock sliders)? They both bolt to the seat at the same location and they both appear to bolt to the sliders at the very same location, so what is the difference? Why must we toss out the ones that came with the seats and buy B-K’s?

Doug,
I'm not clear as to what you are saying. The BK sub mount has the brackets to accept the BK extinguisher mount. You also need a small bracket to adapt to the Safecraft billet FE. The stock bracket that comes with the GT3 seats will not work, it doesn't have the mounting holes for the BK bracket.
No need to change the sliders, unless BK has changed something.

The pics watt has posted is of my set up. I had installled the one on watts also. I'm positive it will work. Unless there have been some changes.
