cost analysis.....replace shocks, or do coilovers?
if you don't go with mono *****, you will most likely need new front top mounts. I had drivers side fall apart when I got it out. Pass didn't look a lot better. At 65K miles. I went with Bilstein HD shocks, OEM springs. Wasn't doing any alterations, just solving the noise issue with worn out mount and bearings. Also ended up replacing all sway bar end links, more noise issues. OEM, again. Yes, the mount prices are ridiculous. I did all 4, but 2 rears were probably fine.
Was in same situation, i finally install bilstein sport shocks and strut and install tarret camber plate for less money then replacing the front top mount
Very happy with my decision, car is very comfortable on long trip and the handling is perfect for agressive street mountain road
