Would it be crazy to go from 996tt to 991C4s?

Maybe a nice low mileage 2013 with PDK... just testing the water.
My last "upgrade" from a 996tt was to an 07 C4s... I loved the car, but I always missed the raw power of the turbo. Now years later and driving another tt, I'm wondering if the 991 C4s would leave me underwhelmed (only with the acceleration) too.
Anyone care to speculate?

the raw power is indeed all you'd miss, but not the lack of creature comforts the 996 turbo lacks relative to the updated "newness" of the 991s. but then others will tell you the 991's are too "genteel". personally, i disagree, but would not trade MY 575/600rwhp for much LOL. but all in all, not a bad trade, but then also, not a mezger turbo either.

If u don't race or do any major runs I don't think it's a bad move.
I do have a mild tune from 911 tuning and an exhaust from Sambott.
I need to go test drive a 991... Seems silly to give up a flagship model for a middle of the road, but I wonder if the performance would be similar. On paper they are similar... At least when stock.
I have a modded 996 TT Cab and also a 2013 991S X51 Cab. The 996 has far more torque and is a joy to drive in any traffic while the 991 needs to be worked (shifting more) to get similar feeling. I'm keeping both as they're quite different to drive and it depends on my mood.

I finally made it out to drive a new (to me) 2013 991 C4s. This one was a cab, and it was brilliant! Had the PDK and a ton of options. $144k sticker and only 7700 miles.
I'm still not sure I can justify the "upgrade" though... My car runs great and is in fantastic condition. AND!!! It's definitely faster!
The 991 drives, rides, sounds, and looks better; especially the interior. I love all of the new gadgets, but when I look at the cost to trade, I just don't know that I see another, additional, 996tt's worth of upgrades.
For now, my ever changing mind wants to drive the old turbo for another year and then decide.
These turbos are the best value I've ever found in a car. Not sure I won't just mileage the heck out of mine and then search for another low mileage one to do the same with.

Which gadgets do you love? Could a relatively inexpensive stereo upgrade to something like a Pioneer NEX scratch the itch?

For now, I'm still going back and forth between "
it's only money", and "
It's a lot of money"...
