Motor mounts and Trans mounts

Motor mounts and Trans mounts
Given that the car is nearing 14 years in age, I figure I should start addressing the motor and trans mounts. What are the leading brands today?
90% of my drive time is on the street, sometimes quite aggressively. The other 10% is on the track. For now mostly straight line 1/2 mile, but I want to get me feet wet on a road course (but I'll start that endeavor in my E46 M3)
Noise and vibration is somewhat of a concern. I don't want to make the car unbearable, but understanding that I'm willing to put up with more than most with the car as it is today (catless, loud exhaust, triple disk clutch, blah blah blah...)

I installed RSS semi solid motor mounts from Sharkwerks a few months ago. Right away I noticed my exhaust sitting a little higher so there was defintely some sagging in my oem motor mounts. Sitting in the car I could feel and hear a little more rumble, nothing annoying, just enough to feel a little more connected to the car through the seat. I don't have enough experience to notice a difference in throttle response or cornering stability but I know that I like them better than my old oem.

Might try these if you're concerned about too much NVH. Theyre relatively new, havent seen any reviews yet.

I put in a new 997 tranny mount with the function-first street inserts and it feels great to me.

any name brand "semi's" are best of both worlds for increased feedback and tautness from the car to you. that would be RSS, TS, and i use WEVO semi's myself..stay away from solids unless track dedicated. the semi's will transmit just enough added nvh so you know you've added some "performance enhancing" part.
as far as a trans mount, a new 997 t-mount will work wonders and though I've never used them or felt the need, the Function First "inserts" provide much the same solidity as the window weld steve mentioned above. but without having to do anything but install them. for most though, a new 997 mount is sufficient. the semi solids with a new t-mount, will really eliminate that lateral "slop" we all know and love.

I use Wevo's and i like it. Little more sound while idle.
If u want comfort, go for new OEM ones.

I run T.S. 75a engine and trans mounts. Trans mount adds a ton of NVH but makes shifting perfect even loaded coming out of a corner, less trans noise would be nice but consistent beautiful shifts are sublime

Can any one else who has Rennline Tuneable motor mounts chime in with a review? My thinking is use them, probably with firmest inserts then when and if I sell car (would return it to completely stock: suspension; tune; exhaust; wheels; seats etc.) I could simply put the softest inserts in instead of the worn out stock units I now have. Any thoughts?
