Another hose popping off thread
First, I would like to preface that I have done a search prior to creating this thread.
I decided it was a good time to put the car down for some maintenance over the holidays and first on the list was a boost leak test. I got the car setup and noticed immediately that it had a very noticeable leak coming from the top of the IC. I pulled off the rear bumper and found what you see in the picture below.
I pulled the c-clip, re-seated the hose, and put the clip back on. 2nd test the hose popped off at around 12 psi. Rinse, and repeat with the R&R of the hose. 3rd test, the hose did not pop off but noticeably bled air at around 15 psi.
At this point, is this a problem with just not seating correctly or is there something I need to replace? It takes some prying to get the hose to like up with the end tank and it does not stay in there unless I am holding it in place.
Thanks all!

I found that if you get a small screwdriver and from inside the intercoo;er pipe just lever it in a bit it will then hold, I also use rubber grease around the o ring/joint it helps make a seal

those c-clips are well known for losing their integrity, and ability to stay "clipped", is my experience. get new c-clips. whether or not that "solves" your issue? may be secondary to them losing their ability to hold firm, or not.

Is there a kit that ditches the metal fittings for stock ICs? Id much rather use t-clamps anyway.

looks like I might possibly need to replace the hose itself. I swapped out the c clips from the y-pipe which has held and still having the same issue. I took off the hose, pulled out the tab a little and filed it down a hair so it had a flat surface and Im still having issues with it not seating flat against the end tank (not popping off anymore but definitely leaking). There appears to be no abnormal bends in the supporting brackets for the IC so I dont think that is the issue here. Id rather try an $80 hose before dropping the cash on some RS ICs. Im not looking to go north of 600hp so Im good with stock hoses.

Get an oem usted stick hose, I did this before switching to aftermarket, and I didn't have any problems with it coming off. Search for a thread I made, you can see the difference between old and updated. Make sure to get an o ring as well, they have been updated as well.

Thanks! I found the PN for the updated hose. Im going to pull off the IC and see if I can get them to stay when the body isnt in the way before buying a new hose outright.
Does anyone know if there is a PN for the c-clips? If I end up ordering a new hose it makes sense to spend the $8-10 on new clips as well.
